I dunno why, but the cover always makes me think of a light and fun gay Miami Vice, so this was definitely darker than I expected. But what can I say? I loved these guys and thought this was an interesting twist on some of the other undercover cop books I've read like [b:Laurel Heights|13455769|Laurel Heights|Lisa Worrall|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1328583074s/13455769.jpg|18984294] and [b:The Assignment|3595953|The Assignment (Assignment, #1)|Evangeline Anderson|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1348577699s/3595953.jpg|3638635] (although I guessed what the twist was) obviously Antonio was undercover too or they never could have had a relationship
. I liked that it switched perspectives halfway through, so we really got to know both guys. Ortega's soft Spanish endearments had me melting, and I loved that he could see right through Gabriel's guards. My only complaint is that I wish we had an Epilogue with that family Christmas they alluded too!
