2.5 stars This was a fun and light read, but I sort of felt like the execution didn't live up to the concept. Maybe it's because this is a first book and the beginning was a lot of set-up, but I found the first half very slow and not super interesting. Once she started working at The Shift things picked up, especially with the introduction of Ian who I think is my favorite character. Chloe and Drew were OK but I didn't feel a particular connection to them. And there were still some major things left unfinished, for example, we still don't really know why Chloe was recruited. Despite some of my criticisms, as I said, this is light and fun and I found myself smiling a good amount near then end. Cute and simple wrap up as well with a clever little twist.
